This new restaurant serves ceviche with a Filipino twist

What is it?

A kinilaw (Filipino ceviche-style dish) and a buko ice cream at this new Hoxton eatery.

This snazzy little food spot is the latest venture by chef Francis Puyat (the culinary connoisseur behind 100 Hoxton and halloumi ice cream). For this venture, Puyat is going back to his roots – merging two unique concepts. Firstly, kinilaw, a Filipino take on Peruvian ceviche that uses palm vinegar and kalamansi (instead of lime) to break down enzymes and denature protein. Sure, it sounds confusing, but take a look at the menu below and you’ll see that each dish is as mouth-watering as the next. And secondly, there’s buko, a fascinating new ice cream concept served in a baby coconut shell. The best thing? It’s low in carbs, fats, and it’s vegan – which means it’s practically guilt-free.
