A Christmas Carol

A quintessential reimagining of the Christmas classic

As far as Christmas classics go, Dickens' A Christmas Carol is up there with the best of them. And, as far as Christmas musicals go, Antic Disposition's musical adaptation is one of the best around. Combining the ghostly tale of Ebenezer Scrooge with a score of original songs inspired by the carols of a traditional Victorian Christmas, Antic Disposition’s A Christmas Carol has been seen by over 5,000 people and has firmly established itself as one of London's most magical festive treats. Following sell-out seasons in 2012 + 2014, the acclaimed adaptation is returning to the spectacular Elizabethan setting of Middle Temple Hall, a location well known to Dickens himself. Found between Fleet Street and the River Thames, the stunning hall was completed in 1573 and remains virtually unchanged. With cobbled alleyways and gas-lit courtyards, a visit to the Middle Temple is a journey into the London that Dickens himself knew, creating the perfect backdrop for this celebration of his much-loved Christmas classic. The hall will be decked with boughs of holly, and mulled wine, mince pies + more festive fare will be available to add to the Yuletide spirit. "Temple Church has a jaw-dropping splendour that hits you the very second you cross the threshold." – Everything Theatre Production recommended for children 6 and over. Child tickets are for under 18s. Seating is unreserved. Cash bar only. Runtime: 2 hours with one interval.
