A Daughter's Memoir Of Burma + Q&A

Author Wendy Law-Yone discusses her father's memoirs

Following the Burmese military coup of 1962, Ed Law-Yone, editor of the country's outspoken English-language daily The National, was imprisoned. Escaping to Thailand, his attempts at a revolution failed, and he retreated to the States. With conversation led by the BBC’s Bridget Kendall, his daughter, distinguished author Wendy Law-Yone, will be discussing his compelling story, much of it collected from his private manuscripts. Seating is on a first come, first served basis.
