This uncomfortable comedy sees the elephant in the room treading on eggshells

"...a kind of Abigail's Party for the metropolitan, multicultural 21st century."

- The Daily Telegraph
Sarah Rutherford’s controversial comedy focuses on simmering tensions that surround race and racism. Natasha and her yummy mummy friends come together in a London suburb on the evening of US election night 2008; the moment Obama became the first African-American president. As the women sip on their painstakingly made Obamatinis, the alcohol loosens the atmosphere to reveal their real opinions on race and themselves. This play is as provocative as it is funny, aiming well-placed punches at the idea of "Beige Britain". Seating allocated on arrival, top tier.
