Dust off your vinyl; this cult classic is on the big screen
Backyard Cinema have teamed up with Camden Market to bring you their very own outdoor summer film festival set across two screens. Sink into giant beanbags and lounge on deckchairs as you enjoy a selection of new releases, cult favourites and all-time classics. Based in Camden Lock Place, the main stage is the hub of entertainment before the screening serving fresh burgers, craft beer, cocktails and a decent helping of live DJs. Tonight’s offering on the huge screen is Empire Records, which is celebrating its 20-year anniversary this year. When their beloved record store comes under threat of being sold to a large chain, these slacker employees have to put aside their own problems to save The Empire. This film is one wild nostalgia ride, complete with a before-they-were-famous all-star cast. "The unlikely film of a generation." – Buzzfeed "Pile in lots of bright young talent plus a jukebox soundtrack." – Time Out Certificate: 12. Runtime: 1 hour 26 minutes.
“Very hard to dislike.”
