Epic beer and epic food calls for an epic film
Grab a beer, choose a meal from one of the many food vendors dotted around the brewery, pull up a beanbag and get watchin’; this is what Backyard Cinema’s Mini Film Festival is all about. Kicking off the proceedings is The Hobbit, Peter Jackson’s latest Tolkien offering. The prequel to the pretty phenomenal Lord of the Rings trilogy, the story follows Bilbo Baggins and his friends on a quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor. Pro tip: enjoy the DJs, BBQ, live bands, and deck chairs also strewn around the event. General admission. Over 18s only. Your ticket includes a beer, food from the stalls, and the film.
"Bursting with surplus characters, wall-to-wall special effects, unapologetically drawn-out story tangents and double the frame rate (48 over 24) of the average movie."
