Bandstand Concert: Kasaï Masaï
An enchanting Africa themed concert set in beautiful surroundings
As part of the weekly series of outdoor concerts celebrating African music from Morocco to Gambia, Horniman Museum And Gardens present Kasaï Masaï. Kasaï Masaï bring the traditional sound of remote equatorial African villages to the Horniman, adding a unique and contemporary twist on the way. The band plays ancestral music which rooted in the healing power of percussion and chanting combined with the majestic sound of the Congolese folk guitar. The saxophone and an MC were added to bring a new element to the music: essential urban groves from Kinshasa. The Museum and Gardens, including aquarium and exhibitions, will also be open. This event is free and entry is on a first come first served basis, so it can't be guaranteed. We need your card details to store the event information in your profile, but rest assured, we won't charge you a penny.
