After 50 years of civil war, South Sudan finally became an independent state in 2011. With independence came the first ever national football team – and a manager determined to whip them into shape. Sam Benstead’s documentary follows Zoran Djordjevic and his often aggressive, sometimes dictatorial style. As malaria and financial crisis threatens the new state, can the team realise their ambitions?
Best available seating. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with director Sam Benstead and editor James Gold.
