Ice cream concoctors embrace the summer with an open-air cinema series!
Summer and open-air cinema go together like two scoops in a cone. Powered by human cycling, the latest in environmentally friendly hybrid power and of course deliciously euphoric Fairtrade ice cream, Ben & Jerry's Big Ice Screenings are taking it up a notch. They're gonna be showing an epic selection of cult classics in the lush surroundings of Clapham Common, matched by an on-site experience that's next-level cool. A sneak peek at what you can expect: - A market of food and drink stalls such as DogTown, Karma Cola and Bad Boys Bakery - Games zones, climate change and recycling zones, and a Ben & Jerry's merchandise tent - "First come first served" seating, from blankets and beanbags to directors chairs and grassy astro-turf sofas - Tickets include free unlimited Ben & Jerry's ice cream When Frances "Baby" Houseman goes to Kellerman's holiday resort, little does she know she'll have the time of her life (sorry, we couldn't resist). This is one of the most iconic love/dance stories of modern-day cinema, with Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze delivering memorable performances. "The purest spirit of the 1980s is distilled in this amiable film." – The Guardian "A metaphor for America in the summer of 1963 – orderly, prosperous, bursting with good intentions." – Times Certificate 12. Running time: 1 hour 40 minutes. Valid ID may be required for entry and the bar. Any food and drink not purchased on site is prohibited. Management reserves the right to carry out bag searches, and refuse admission or eject ticket holders without refund in reasonable circumstances; this includes in response to antisocial behaviour. "Endlessly quotable, strangely fascinating and immensely charming."
