Adapted for the stage by the same creative geniuses that developed the film and scored by absolute legend Elton John, Billy Elliot is a heartwarming tale of a young boy's triumph over adversity. It's one of the most award-winning musicals on stage for a reason, and comes highly recommended by us too. Expect big musical numbers, powerful dancing and an ending that will bring a tear to your eye. But if you want to see it, you'll have to be quick – after 11 years of being a staple in the West End, Billy Elliot will end its run in April 2016. There has been a theatre on this site since 1832, originally known as Moy’s Music Hall, well before the coming of the railways.
