A slightly tongue-in-cheek celebration of '90s '00s indie and pop
Can you believe it has been 20 years since the Blur and Oasis went head-to-head in the world's biggest ever chart battle? (Perhaps you weren't even born.) Well what better way to celebrate this momentous anniversary in music than with a party looking back at everything indie and pop over the last two decades. Joining the party tonight are Johnny Dean (singer) from Menswear, who will be DJing and Britpop dance troupe The Britpopettes, who will be performing. Look out for free Blur and Oasis face masks for the first 100 people through the door and, the piece de resistance, a Rock Paper Scissor battle on stage between Liam Gallagher and Damon Albarn lookalikes. What other nights in London is offering such madness?
"Imagine Smash Hits having a DJ battle with the NME."
