A master film composer sets the mood for all the guts and gore you could ask for
Chills in the Chapel – Union Chapel’s annual and hugely popular Halloween film night – mixes a love of cinema and music with a great night out. Set in the Grade I listed architectural masterpiece that is Union Chapel, the atmosphere is suitably spooky. Expect fancy dress, creepy cocktails and a few surprises along the way. This year, you're treated to a live performance from master composer Alan Howarth. Alan will open the night with music from some of his collaborations with John Carpenter including music from Christine, Prince of Darkness and Big Trouble in Little China – as well as several of his more recent film work – before going on to perform – in his classic, macabre fashion – to a medley of scenes from the Halloween film series. If you're after a night of classic '80s film scores from one of the best in the business, all while scaring the hell out of yourself, then look no further. Over 18s only, Valid ID required. Event start is 7:45pm. Estimated finish is 10:30pm.
