One man's classical music marathon
Witness an amazing performance in one man's incredible journey to perform Chopin's complete works from memory in one season. Warren Mailey-Smith will be making his way through 211 pieces of music, which equates to a staggering 3.5 million notes. For this concert, he'll be tackling Chopin's studies, polonaises and rarely heard Sonata No 1. The concert will also feature an informative pre concert talk and a live Mazurka dancing demonstration by the Mazury dance troupe. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
"Here is a very fine Chopin interpreter indeed…formidable technique…wholly exceptional. This quite memorable recital was justly rewarded with a spontaneous standing ovation."
