Ever wondered what the homes of Christmas past looked like?
The Geffrye Museum lets you step back in time to examine the wonderful living habits of our ancestors. Starting from a 1630s banqueting hall (complete with an epic Christmas dinner) you can whizz through to the art deco interiors of the 1930s and slick Modernist inspired décor of the 1960s. Each room has bits and pieces particular to the imaginary families who may have lived there. It's a treasure trove of parlour games, cocktail parties, and hanging up stockings on period fireplaces.
