Clandestino: In Search Of Manu Chao

Peter Culshaw talks about his epic biopic of an elusive activist star

"...Clandestino is a ridiculously literate and rewarding read."

- The Quietus
Manu Chao is a multimillion selling artist, but you're more likely to find him crashing a friend's couch than staying in The Hilton. As an anti-globalisation activist, he has been named checked as the natural heir of Joe Strummer and Bob Marley. Peter Culshaw has the inside scoop on this amazing performer, with the story taking five years to research and write. Culshaw followed Manu around the globe, drinking the bars of Barcelona and New York dry to uncover the story of this reluctant star. General admission.
