Take a stroll to the Subway Sect's place in punk history
When most people think about the punk movement, they instantly think of the Sex Pistols or, perhaps, The Clash. Those in the know will think about the Subway Sect and their frontman Vic Godard. A cooler and more detached alternative, the group were hugely influential and left a marked impact on music.
Derailed Sense, presented as part of the BFIs London On Film season, details their story. Shot across London and using a wealth of archive footage, this biopic includes appearances from Irvine Welsh, Edwyn Collins, Bobby Gillespie, Jonathan Coe and more. Post-screening performances will come from DJ Andrew Weatherall, Andy Lewis from the Paul Weller Band and a very special guest. A must for music-lovers,
Seating is allocated on arrival.
