Meet the author whose new novel "Worst. Person. Ever." delves into dark territory
Douglas Coupland, author of best-selling novel Generation X, raises an eyebrow at the state of the world. Tonight, Coupland is in conversation with Miranda Sawyer, talking about everything from nuclear war to the mass influence of popular culture. After the talk he'll be signing copies of his book and you get one included in your ticket price. Not all bad, is it? The protagonist of the novel is one Mr Raymond Gunt, a crass TV cameraman prone to colourful metaphors. This is a book almost farcical in its overblown critique of the world we currently find ourselves in. Seating allocated on arrival, usually £20 plus £2 booking fee. Your ticket includes a signed copy of the book. Approximate running time 70 mins, plus book signing.
"...the novel's vitriol and vulgarisms coalesce into a weird kind of anti-poetry."
