This painfully comic play moves between a story of marital bliss and surreal warfare
Anton has everything he's ever wanted – a house, wife, and baby. But as everything begins to collapse around him, he has some painful choices to make. This play asks what happens when ambition begins to eat us up. Marius von Mayenburg is fast becoming a European writer to watch, and with a production like this it's not hard to see why. Tonight includes a Q&A with him and director Simon Dormandy, who has worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Seating allocated on arrival.
"Cryptically fascinating dystopian drama."
