On 4th May, Sandi Toksvig returns to the West End for a one-night-only conversation with QI creator John Lloyd, and if you like your comedy clever and your anecdotes unfiltered, this should be a treat. 

As part of the new On A Roll series at the Gillian Lynne Theatre in Covent Garden, Lloyd invites friends and long-time collaborators to sit down for a proper chat in front of a live audience. There’s no script, no carefully polished stories and no safety net. Just two brilliant minds talking about life, comedy, language, curiosity and whatever else takes their fancy.

Toksvig hardly needs an introduction. She’s a writer, broadcaster, activist and Sunday Times bestselling novelist who has hosted everything from The News Quiz to QI and The Great British Bake Off. Her last big West End appearance, a two-night run of One Night Only at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in 2024, sold out quickly. Now she’s back in town, swapping the presenter’s desk for the hot seat while Lloyd takes the reins. Expect great warmth, quick-fire wit and the kind of stories that usually only come out after the second glass of wine at a very smart dinner party.
