The final evening of performance at Encampment
Having set up a temporary theatre of hope in the Calais refugee camp, Good Chance are delighted to be pitching their Dome on Festival Terrace at the Southbank Centre in London this summer. Come along as we look back at the people, events and individual moments that have made up Good Chance’s Encampment – explore the legacy of the project and our future together with music from 47SOUL. Rooted in dabke – an Arabic folk tradition of circle dance and music – Palestinian band 47SOUL combine myriad sounds of the Middle East with deep electronic beats. They take traditions and instruments such as Iraqi choubi and the mijwiz, then feed them through analogue synthesisers, dub effects and trance-inducing guitar lines. Mixing Arabic and English, their lyrics focus on freedom and the global struggle for equality. Runtime: 8:00pm-10:00pm. This event is free and entry is on a first come first served basis, so it can't be guaranteed. We need your card details to store the event information in "My Tickets", but rest assured, we won't charge you a penny.
