Joyous karaoke with a full backing gospel choir
Everyone loves karaoke, but what happens when you mix in a healthy dose of gospel? Gospeloke, that's what. Make like Tina, Stevie and Whitney on the mic and channel your inner Deloris Van Cartier (yeah, that's a Sister Act reference) as Gospeloke returns this September at their new, bigger and better venue, Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen. Pick your favourite song and jam on down with all the style, sass and soul you can muster. Hosted by Shoreditch's fallen angel, the 'ludicrously entertaining', Eleanor Conway, and from the mind of some of the capital's best interactive events, Jonny Unknown, you can expect one euphoric ceremonial singalong with soulful Toni Robinson and her 15-strong gospel choir backing you up all the way…It's a 'spiritual awakening with a pop concert feel'. There'll be other congregation participation in the way of anthemic, big sing‐alongs, team harmonies, plus prizes being awarded for the night's 'Best Confessional', 'Best Solo Performance', 'Best Duet/Group Performance' and much more.
