Sculptures that look so real they might move
Guy Reid makes small hung sculptures in lime wood that seem so life-like, we swear they might be real people. Miniature people are intricately painted and sprinkled about the exhibit in such a gorgeous way that it’s no surprise Reid is considered to be one of the finest living carvers. Having been classically trained, he’s worked on collections from at The Met in NYC, the V&A, and Sir John Soane’s museums. As far as sculptures are concerned, these are exquisite pieces of work.
