Heddon Street Kitchen: Masters Of Wine-Making Supper Club

A night of wine matches made in heaven at Gordon Ramsay's restaurant

Heddon Street Kitchen are raising the bar for wine dinners in central London, cooking exquisite spring produce and pairing it with elegant French wines from one of the most famous names in viticulture. Their Rothschild wine tasting supper begins with Champagne and canapés including wild mushroom arancini, confit salmon rillettes, and buckwheat crackers with salt beef. You’ll then sit down to a starter of Dorset crab tart with soft herb salad accompanied by Chateau d’Angles Blanc Classique, a smooth, lemony and flinty white wine from the Languedoc, considered "the new Provence". Quintessential spring ingredients – gourmet morel mushrooms, asparagus, peas and mint – will be served with roast saddle of lamb and Moulin de Duhart 2012, a mix of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, which is at its very best right now. Of course the meal would not be complete without cheese. Their superb Comté provides a wonderful opportunity to discover Château Clerc Milon 2010, one of the lesser-known grand crus of Pauillac. This is a beautifully balanced and expressive wine described as “outstanding” by leading guide Robert Parker – and a great one to impress friends with at home. You’ll learn all about these amazing wines, their history, sensory qualities, where and how they are made, and pick up plenty of buying tips during the masterclass that takes place during our three-course dinner. Over 18s only. Valid ID required. Runs: 7pm-10pm.
