Hobson's Choice

Martin Shaw in a head-turning performance as Henry Horatio Hobson

"Martin Shaw on superb form…a delightful production."

- Daily Telegraph
Offer currently available on Monday to Friday performances - £59.50/£55 tickets reduced to £39.50 No booking fee on discounted tickets. Self-made man, shopkeeper, skinflint and boozer…Henry Horatio Hobson is a bit of a character alright. A tyrannical presence in his daughter's lives, he's left blindsided when Maggie, his eldest, defies his wishes and marries Will Mossop the bootmaker. What results is a battle of wills, pride and profit – but, ultimately, it is Hobson's Choice. Part of the Vaudeville's success lies in the fact that it has only had five owners since 1892, making it a family-run affair over the years, and at its core lies a pure love for high-quality productions. The current building is the third theatre to be built on its prominent spot on the Strand. ★★★★☆ – The Times ★★★★☆ – Daily Telegraph ★★★★☆ – Mail On Sunday ★★★★☆ – The Stage Recommended for ages 12 and up. Runtime: 2 hours 9 minutes, including an interval. All ticket prices for Hobson's Choice are inclusive of any booking fees: YPlan will not charge you any additional amounts for your tickets. When booking tickets, you can pick your seat from the seatmap once you've selected a date. For your comfort and security, you may be subject to additional checks on your visit to London theatres. Your patience and understanding is appreciated while these take place. Valid ID required for ticket collection.
