Recent Mercury nominees perform a soundtrack to seminal silent doc
Illuminations are curating a series of music and art collaborations. Mixing it up tonight are Mercury Award nominees Field Music, who take over the lush surroundings of Islington Assembly Hall. They’re putting a new cinematic score to the 1929 film Drifters. Made by pioneer John Grierson, this is a documentary about a working day fishing for herring off the Shetland Islands. Elements, music, and visuals come together to create something exciting. Support from Barbarossa, recently signed to respected London label, Memphis Industries. General admission. Over 18s only.
