Emma Sky arrived in Iraq in 2003 as a volunteer whose intentions were to help the country rebuild after the invasion and overthrow of Saddam Hussein. Ten years later she was still there – a volunteer turned political advisor to the US military. Bringing her invaluable experiences to the podium she will explore themes around the US army, Iraqi society and much more through her new book The Unraveling: High Hopes And Missed Opportunities In Iraq.
