A powerful piece of guerrilla filmmaking
British semi-fictional docudrama that follows the attempted escape of two Afghan refugees along the 'silk road' through Pakistan, Iran and Turkey towards London. Directed by Michael Winterbottom and performed by non-professional actors, it might just change your mind about asylum. The film will be introduced by Rachel Palmer and chaired by John Hutnyk from Goldsmiths’ Centre for Cultural Studies. Over 15s only. General admission.
'A stark, intelligent, and utterly essential contribution to the asylum debate.'
