'Sweet' Pete Horsfall's quartet is here to make some noise
Every Wednesday at Kansas Smitty's, the ‘Basement Tapes’ mix and match members of the Kansas Smitty’s House Band with musicians from around London and further afield to create once-in-a-lifetime intimate concerts. These nights are centred around originality. Expect to see new material written and rehearsed at the bar that week by groups curated specifically for the night. For this one welcome 'Sweet' Pete Horsfall's ground breaking quartet. - Pete has one of those other-worldly voices. He's called 'Sweet' because he's something like a cross between Billie Holiday and Tony Bennet. Basically, he's Pete. He'll be joined tonight by Joe Webb (piano), Dave Archer (guitar), and Dave O'Brien (bass) Over 18s only. No dress code.
" This bar is about turning jazz's exclusive and snobby reputation on its head, with the band clubhouse bringing original swing music, real people and great cocktails to East London."
