Using a specific case to examine the bigger picture of Russia's political prisonersOctober marks the tenth year of the imprisonment of one time millionaire, Mikhail Khodorkovsky. He’s been behind bars for a decade on politically motivated charges due to a rocky relationship with Putin. Tonight, Frontline examine this case, using it to look at the wider implications of the imprisonment of opposition figures in Russia. A selection of Khodorkovsky’s writing has been dramatically adapted for performance this evening, directed by Noah Birksted-Breen and performed by Jonathan McGuinness, who is currently appearing in Dennis Kelley's new play at the Royal Court.
