An evening with one of the most refreshing ivory-ticklers around
Kit Downes is a bit of a secret legend on the piano, popping up and lending his virtuosic playing to many a band. Nominated for a Mercury Prize in 2010, and a British Jazz Award in 2008 and 2009, his highly creative style has certainly been garnering attention. Tonight, he brings his own band to the speakeasy vibes at the 606 Club, kicking out some quality jams from his own catalogue of compositions. Here are some typical highlights of the ever-changing menu: - sun-dried tomato and basil-crusted salmon fillet - grilled cumberland sausages with a red wine-infused gravy and creamy mashed potatoes - spiced sweet potato and black bean burger, with Greek yoghurt, honey, and mixed leaves Best available seating allocated by the venue on arrival. Over 18s only. Tickets includes a two-course meal and music entry. We've managed to nab you a free glass of house wine on top of that.
"One of the finest pianists of his generation."
