The long-awaited UK debut from AdanowskyLa Linea welcomes the long-awaited UK debut from Adanowsky and his longtime musical co-conspirator Xavi Polycarpe. Joined by Los Imanes, their rich, raw, warm and intimate pop comes with a wintry edge, delivering performances reminiscent of Harry Nilsson, Badfinger and the guitar work of George Harrison (who gave Jodorowsky his first guitar lesson as a child).
In 2006 Adanowsky released his first solo album, Étoile Éternelle and in 2011 his third solo album Amador won the UFI award for Best International Artist Of The Year and Best Live Show. Adan and Xavi’s new ten song LP is a dusky and beautiful exploration of mutual appreciation and mutual heartache. Adanowsky is a sometime member of the mighty Mexrrissey and has collaborated with a who’s who of the what’s what from Devendra Banhart to Ana Tijoux.
Jodorowsky is the son of Chilean film and theatre director Alejandro Jodorowsky and actress Valerie Trumblay, appearing in seven films to date. As an actor, he won the Saturn Award for Best Performance By A Younger Actor in 1989 and in 2007 featured in the Julie Delpy film Two Days In Paris. He started playing piano at the age of six; when he was sixteen he joined the punk band The Hellboys and later started playing bass.
