English National Opera's brand-new production of Verdi’s classic opera – with tickets exclusively discounted for Time Out readers.
Courtesy of English National Opera, Verdi’s tragic love story is being given a new lease of life. ‘La traviata’ tells the story of courtesan Violetta and her bourgeois admirer, the romantic Alfredo Germont. Against his father’s wishes – and the hypocritical double standards of high society – a sad and doomed love affair plays out between the mismatched pair.
Directed by ENO’s Artistic Director Daniel Kramer, rising star soprano Claudio Boyle takes on the role of Violetta. Lukhanyo Moyake will make his UK debut as Alfredo, while, by contrast, Alan Opie will celebrate 50 years singing with the ENO as Alfredo's father Giorgio Germont.
With our exclusive offer, you can save 40 percent on selected seats in the Dress Circle and Upper Circle – ours start at just £20.40 each. Don’t miss this timeless operatic classic.
