Buried memories revealed on canvasHistory and memory are the subject of a joint exhibition between Nogah Engler and Ori Gersht. The Ukrainian landscape around Kosov is a staple of Engler's landscapes. During WWII, this tranquil setting witnessed the unspeakable horror of Nazi death squads. The contrast between the dark deeds of the past and the bucolic beauty of the present shines through in Engler’s haunting paintings.
