There are lots of famous last meals. It's also a common question to come up. But what about the beverage? Certainly, when the time comes to shuffle off of this mortal coil, having one more drink seems like it would be more useful. B&H Buildings will play host to light-heartedly musing the big question: if the world were to end tomorrow what would your last drink on earth be? In this series of Last Libations, special guest hosts - from industry experts to spirits producers - will pay homage to their chosen final tipple. The comfortable grandeur of this popular Clerkenwell restaurant and bar will provide the perfect backdrop for an evening of informal drinks-tasting, food-pairing and ponderous discussion. The evening is designed to be an informative insight into the origins, maker’s techniques and subtleties of each carefully selected, treasured and frequently obscure spirit. Each evening, there will be a cocktail and spirit workshop commencing at 6.30pm and a decadent dinner hosted separately in the restaurant from 8pm. This time round, they're playing host to a "foraging origins" evening with Glendalough Foraged Gin. Foraging may well be all the rage in the culinary and drinks worlds at the moment, but its roots go back to the origins of our own civilisation. Join B&H as Gwendolyn, the forager for Glendalough Foraged Gin, explains the history, techniques and flavours of foraged ingredients both for their gin and for all aspects of modern life. Following the tasting, drinks creations and tastings of the seasonal expressions of gin will be paired with a five-course paired dinner using foraged ingredients by Chef Adam Gray. Over 18s only.
