Royal Albert Hall presents the best of comedy
Join some of comedy’s finest up and coming and established names on Friday nights in the Elgar Room. The evening will be hosted by Richard Herring, who has enjoyed phenomenal cult success as a writer and performer and is an innovator in the world of podcasts. Richard’s Leicester Square Theatre Podcast sees him interview top comedians in front of a live audience and is then released online both as videos and podcasts for free. Andy Zaltzman has firmly established himself in the vanguard of British comedy with his unique brand of political satire. Andy has been a regular at the Edinburgh Festival since being nominated for the Perrier Best Newcomer Award in 2001 and can currently be found touring his latest stand up show, Satirist For Hire, which will soon be available on DVD. His partner in crime for this show is Phil Wang. Wang is quietly assured and always has been. From winning the Chortle Student Comedy Award in 2010 to his strong debut in 2013 he has exuded this inner confidence, which his sophomore show, Mellow Yellow, builds on. Over 18s only. Please arrive on time as latecomers may not be admitted. This event takes place in the Elgar Room and has cabaret-style unreserved seating. Enter via Door 8 of the Royal Albert Hall. Ticket Face value is £12.00 with £1.23 in fees.
"In a world where so many stand-ups recycle the same stale gags, Andy Zaltzman comes as a blessed relief… enormously funny, thoroughly rewarding."
