A digital restoration of a movie classic

The 1962 epic film depicts Lawrence's experience in Arabia during the tumultuous WW1. It follows his attacks on Damascus, Aqaba, and his emotional involvement in the Arab National Council. The themes of personal struggles, the violence of war, and the search of one's personal identity are vivid as Lawrence must divide his allegiance between the Empire and the tribesman of the desert. The film is regarded as a masterpiece of world cinema and is ranked highly on many lists of the best films ever made. It was deemed 'culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant' by the Library of Congress and selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry.
