Hard hitting artwork with political bite
This exhibition of figurative painter Leon Golub is his first in London since the turn of the millennium. The work spans his career from the 1950s until his death in 2004, bringing up emotive and difficult themes in large scale. Looking at oppression, violence and the misuse of power, these paintings are important works in bringing the political to art.
