Go on a wild and unbelievable adventure
From Yann Martel’s 2001 novel of the same name, the film adaptation is directed by the incredible Ang Lee and based on a screenplay version by David Magee. The stars are relatively unknown, but that didn’t stop Life of Pi from meeting critical acclaim and earning three Golden Globe nominations upon its release.
Follow a 16-year-old boy called Piscine Molitor ‘Pi” Patel, who, after a shipwreck in which his entire family dies, finds himself stranded in the Pacific on a lifeboat with a Bengal tiger named Richard Parker. The visual effects alone are stunning.
