Sunday afternoons will never be the same again now that Sunday cinema has arrived at The Phoenix Artist Club. Enjoy flicks that have come from, and made their way to the stage. Tonight’s offering on the big screen is the musical horror comedy (mus-hor-com?) Little Shop Of Horrors. Rick Moranis plays Seymour Krelborn, who works in a rundown flower shop. Seymour is on the search for fame and fortune. He purchases a strange plant from a curious stranger and names it after his girlfriend Audrey. Unlike other plants, however, Audrey II is less interested in sun, water and fertiliser, preferring to chow-down on blood and flesh. Funny and horrific in equal measures, this is a cult classic that has to be seen to be believed. "One and a half hours of freaky, scary nonsense set to a killer doo-wop soundtrack." – Film4 "Comic book creepiness, jazzy tunes and fab cast." – Common Sense Media Certificate: PG. Runtime: 1 hour 34 minutes.
"This wild and witty musical is great fun."
