50 teams and 240 tons of sand in Finsbury Square
Whether you want to be part of the ruck or prefer to "prop" up the bar, London Beach Rugby is an event not to be missed this Summer. The opening day sees corporate rivals from EY, Clifford Chance and JLL amongst others go to head-to-head, aiming to be crowned City champions. Following them on the Saturday are a number of amateur teams. Veteran clubs and new hopefuls will collide on the pitches – and then England legend Phil Vickery will lead a team of 10 winners to take on teams from around the world. Sharp's invite you to join them for a pint on the sand after the action, with indie superstars Bombay Bicycle Club will be providing the tunes. This is the free event of the summer season – so arrive early for a good spot to dance the night away.
