Benjamin Britten is regarded as a key figure in British classical music, making a big impact in the genre till his death in 1976. This year is the centenary celebration of his birth and tonight the LPO plays a selection of his outstanding orchestral pieces. Principle conductor Vladimir Jurowski leads the world-renowned London Philharmonic through a selection of gems such as Suite on English Folk Tunes and The Prince of the Pagodas Suite.
