Marc-André Hamelin brings his virtuosic piano playing to the Southbank Centre. He’s won international awards at the Carnegie Hall and Cannes. Tonight, he’s bringing to life Khachaturian's Piano Concerto, with sonorous swagger and sparkling melody. Also performed are Kalinnikov’s Symphony No.1 and Balakirev’s Islamey, Oriental Fantasy.
