Paying tribute to an amazing atmosphere conjurer (aka film composer)Patrick Doyle might not trip off the tongue as easily as the name Kenneth Branagh, but the latter would be at a loose end without the former. Doyle is a prolific film composer, working with the thespian on the score for Henry V, as well as turning his hand to Hamlet, Gosford Park, Sense and Sensibility…even Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Tonight, Sir Derek Jacobi and Emma Thompson join the London Symphony Orchestra to celebrate the work of Doyle and his magically evocative scores.
Seats allocated on arrival. You can meet the composer himself at the free pre-concert talk in the hall from 6pm.
