Bring your own fabrics, and go home with a fully lined skirtWhy buy your skirts when you could make them yourself? Sounds difficult? Well, Craig will show you in this class that it really isn't rocket science...it’s, well, skirt-making, and it’s much more practical than anything else.
During this four hour class you’ll learn to assemble a fully lined, A-Line skirt and insert a zip. The Fashion Box advise taking the "intro to sewing" workshop before this class. Workshoppers must have used a sewing machine before.
What you will need to bring:
- 1.5 metres of skirt fabric (more if you would like a longer length)
- 1.5 metres of lining fabric (cotton or nylon)
The Fashion Box will supply black and white invisible zips. If you require a different colour, please bring one along with you.
During the workshop you will be shown how to cut out your skirts correctly, in your size, and given easy step by step instructions on the construction techniques needed for that professional finish.
Then, twirl off home in your homemade skirt.
Latecomers will not be admitted.
