Two of comedy's greatest oddballs, together for one night only
Matthew Highton and Marny Godden - two of the twice Chortle and Dave's Leicester Fest nominated Weirdos Comedy Club - present to you Work In Progress versions of their soon to be award-winning shows: Matthew Highton's: I, The Universe. 3016, space is overrun with tourists. Amongst them a young couple who just want a real experience, and in order to get it they will travel galaxies to watch the last god die. It’s a story so moving the universe itself personified to tell it. From master storyteller Matthew Highton, director and collaborator of the twice Chortle-nominated Weirdos Collective, this is a compelling, hilarious and absurdly silly show. Marny Godden: Where's John's Porridge Bowl? After a critically-acclaimed Edinburgh run and sell-out Soho Theatre show, seasoned lunatic Marny Godden returns with another 'sublimely silly show' (Times). An hour of pure, joyful idiocy from one of comedy’s most loved buffoons. Featuring a ragtag collection of characters including an prancing pup, a clog-wielding prophet and a toothless twit. All wallies, mugwumps and fellow idiots are welcome to join in the hunt for John's porridge bowl. This event is free with guaranteed entry for YPlan bookers arriving before 7:30pm. You need to be registered to book, but rest assured, we won't charge you a penny. Please arrive on time as latecomers may not be admitted.
"Disorientating, bizarre and rather brilliant."
