Looking to shake up your afternoon tea routine? Head to La Bibliothèque on Kingsland Road, where East London cool meets refined Japanese–Mediterranean flavours. This isn’t dainty finger sandwiches – think teriyaki pork belly burgers, okonomiyaki with sriracha emulsion, and chocolate chou buns with miso caramel, all served tapas-style.

Every experience includes a pot of premium tea, selected by a Japanese tea specialist, with the option to upgrade to a cocktail, sake, or sparkling wine on the day. It’s stylish, surprising, and downright delicious and at £29 per person (down from £40), it’s a proper treat without the price tag.

How do I redeem my voucher?

• To redeem, please book here with your preferred date and time. Please ensure your voucher and security code(s) are added to the booking notes.
• Please present your voucher upon arrival.

• Availability: Friday - Sunday: 12 pm - 4:30 pm.
• Voucher valid until August 31, 2025.

• This voucher is valid for a Japanese Tapas Style Afternoon Tea at La Bibliothèque.
• Menu subject to change.
• A credit card will be required to secure and confirm the booking.
• Please note that the restaurant is unfortunately unable to cater for gluten-free, dairy-free or vegan afternoon tea requirements.
• A discretionary service charge of 13.5% will be charged on the day of your visit
• Tables will be held for 15 minutes, arrivals after this time will be subject to a charge
• Tables are reserved for two hours and unlimited drinks limited to 90 minutes.
• The restaurant must be informed of any changes/cancellations 48 hours before your booking. If the booking is cancelled after this time, the voucher will be deemed to have been redeemed for the current booking and cannot be used towards a new booking.
• Cancellations within 48 hours of booking will be charged a £20 per person fee to reschedule.
• Time Out is not responsible for ensuring any dietary requirements are catered for. Please contact La Bibliothèque to ensure your dietary requirements can be accommodated before purchasing a voucher.
