Remember the fallen with this beautiful music
Comrades who fell in The Great War are remembered in Requiem da Camera, Gerald Finzi’s haunting elegy. The work has been recently completed by Christian Alexander with the addition of contemporary poems that frame the horrors of war. Michael Tippett’s Five Spirituals, inspired by events leading to the Second World War, also feature along with Haydn’s rousing Paukenmesse amidst an evening rich with melody and memories of the past.
