Rare piano sonata + music by the great composers
Nicholas Walker performs Balakirev’s rarely heard sonata in B flat minor, as he celebrates the launch of his latest album. When he’s not wowing audiences, he can be found teaching at the Royal Academy. Tonight, however, he's playing in the heart of Westminster at St John’s Smith Square. One of the capital’s premier classical concert venues, it's known for its fantastic acoustics. Greats such as Haydn, Beethoven, and Schubert also feature in tonight's recital. Best available seating allocated by the venue on arrival. Please note that doors open at 6pm and the event starts at 7:30pm.
