What will the General Election of 2015 bring? The weekend after polling day, we perform two sets of newly commissioned songs. Co-curated by the London Sinfonietta with Matthew Herbert and the Royal Philharmonic Society, 16 composers consider the society before them – and the future they hope to see. From songs of protest to songs of hope, music has always played a pivotal role at times of social change and this concert launches a new era of impassioned political expression. Part of Southbank Centre’s Changing Britain festival.
