Notting Hill Unplugged: Sodi Cookey

Up close and personal with some of the best musicians in the business

Don't miss out again!

This autumn, join Notting Hill's Book And Kitchen for a series of live sessions with some incredible musicians. Over the next few months, Notting Hill Unplugged brings a variety of acts to this cultural hub, and sees them play against an unusually intimate backdrop. Here's your chance to get involved. Sodi Cookey spent much of his childhood growing up in the musical melting pot of Port Harcourt, Nigeria, returning as a young adult to London, the city of his birth. A self-confessed music junkie, his influences are diverse and eclectic – his sound is a unique fusion of soul, funk and jazz. The son of a musician, singing has always been part of his life. Likened to a mind-blowing concoction of Lenny Kravitz and Bobby Womack, he is a storyteller whose songs and lyrics mirror his life experiences. His incredible range, powerful voice and charismatic, passionate performance delight and surprise audiences and critics alike. Over 18s only. Valid ID required.
